Parsnip – Harris Early Model

$2.60$15.40

100 Days | Parsnips are a cold weather crop that requires patience as they are slow germinators needing well loosened soil of at least 12″-15″ depth. Mix in a few radish seed to mark the rows for weeding (if you plant a short season radish like Cherry Belle or Scarlet Globe, they will almost be ready to harvest). Parsnips flavor improves with the frost, so many will harvest late in the fall.Delicious, tender, white, 12-inch roots have a sweet flavor; refined in appearance. A good producer and popular variety. An earlier type that is very productive. Roots are 3 1/2 inches at shoulder and taper less abruptly than Hollow Crown, to a length of 10 – 12 inches. The skin and interior is white, tender and of best quality. Grow enough to serve your table from after frost to late spring.Packet contains about 7 grams of seed. All orders include a handling fee, however orders with only “free shipping” items will have no further charges. Plus shipping items will include postage depending on size of the order.
