58 Days | A big, beautiful bean with excellent flavor and texture, this bean performed well in our test gardens. String-less until overripe, an improved Bush Blue Lake type with typical Blue Lake firmness. BBL 156 does well as a home garden or canning and freezing type, with good yields even under drought stress. Has a high resistance to bean common mosaic virus. Approx. 6-7 inches long, #5 sieve size, with medium green pods. Bush type plants growing 18-24″ tall, producing continuously as they are harvested. A brother of our better known Bush Blue Lake 274, this bean deserves its own spot in the garden.Packet contains about 50 grams of seed.
