Description
Gourds require a long growing season. Fruit average from 8 to 14 inches tall. They have a bowl at the bottom, then a neck with a wider area at the top. To form a gourd that will sit upright on its base you should set them upright while they are young and still growing. Gourds will need to cure after growing. Once they are dry you can use them for birdhouses, canteens and other crafts.
