Tatume – Calabacia

45-130 Days | A round zucchini type with dark green stripes. A true Mexican squash or Calabacita. What a versatile vegetable! Pick small tatume and use like zucchini. The flavor is slightly sweeter with a a rich zucchini flavor. Let the squash mature until large and green. At this stage, diced tatume is a flavorful addition to soups and stews. When tatume full matures (at roughly 120 days), it becomes a tasty yellow-orange winter squash. This plant is very productive and needs plenty of room.
