Beet – Detroit Golden
An amazing sweet beet that turns deep golden colored when cooked, with a flavor somewhat similar to carrots. This flavor is because of the nutrients found in yellow and orange vegetables, like vitamin A, beta-carotene, and flavonoids. This is a delicious and good size semi-globe beet, very similar externally to the red Detroit. A favorite with market gardeners. Good disease resistance and frost tolerant.
