Corn Roasting – Country Gentleman Shoepeg Corn

$2.60$12.20

95 Days  |  This classic sweet corn is called a shoepeg or shoe peg because it doesn’t have clear rows of kernels. Developed in 1890 by S. D. Woodruff & Sons of Orange, Connecticut and can grow 2 8″ ears. While this corn will stay sweet and milky longer than most other heirloom corn, it should still be picked earlier than modern corn. Stalks grow 7′-8′ tall, and make good shade for more heat sensitive crops.

Seed packets contain about 50 grams of seed.

All orders include handling fees, but you will not be charged added shipping costs on products that have ‘free ship’ indicated in their title. Otherwise, shipping charges will be added during checkout based on the total weight of the order.
